Founder
Tristan Hedrick
He founded HEDRICK and put the family name on it — on purpose.
Why the name matters
A company can be named anything. Tristan chose to name this one after the family because a name that means something to you is hard to be careless with. It is not a marketing device. It is a way of making the stakes personal.
HEDRICK isn't a name he invented for a company. It's the name he put on it — which means when the work is not good enough, there is a specific person that falls to, and he intends to keep it that way as the company grows.
Legacy, and responsibility
The thinking behind HEDRICK is inherited more than invented: respect what came before, and take seriously the job of building what comes next. Tristan sees the company as something to be handed on in better shape than he found it — which rules out a lot of short-term decisions that would otherwise be tempting.
That is also where the client philosophy comes from. Every business HEDRICK works with is treated as seriously as the largest one, because the size of the client was never the point. The standard was.
The deeper source
Where the standard comes from
Tristan is a Christian, and he is straightforward that his faith is where his sense of integrity, responsibility and service actually comes from — the conviction that your word should mean something, that work is worth doing well for its own sake, and that people are not just transactions.
HEDRICK is a commercial company, not a ministry, and its service and package pages are kept free of that language on purpose — clients hire HEDRICK to build websites, not to share a worldview. But the founder page is the honest place to say plainly what the values rest on.
The ambition
HEDRICK starts with websites because that is the first thing it can do to a standard worth putting the name on. The intent is for it to become considerably more than that over time — additional capabilities, a larger footprint — without ever loosening the standard to get there.
Put a real name in your corner.
If that is the kind of company you want building for you, start a conversation.
